Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting application for Combined Medical Services Examination,2014. Examination Notice No.07/2014-CMS. Candidates who will qualify this examination will be recruited in the following Services/ Posts — Asst. Divisional Medical Officer, Asst. Medical Officer, Jr. Scale Posts and General Duty Medical Officer. Expected No. of vacancies— 875. Eligible candidates may apply online (see below). Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

UPSC — COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICES EXAMINATION,2014. EXAMINATION NOTICE NO.07/2014-CMS. LAST DATE – 21/04/2014

A Combined Medical Services Examination,2014 is going to be conducted by UPSC for recruitment in the below mentioned Services/ Posts, on 22nd June,2014 at various centres.

Recruitment on basis of this examination will be made in the following Services and Posts

  1. Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways: 650 Nos. 
  2. Assistant Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service: (Will be declared later)
  3. Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services: 150 Nos. 
  4. General Duty Medical Officer Gr.II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation: 53 Nos. 
  5. General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council: 22 Nos. 

Reservation of vacancies for SC/ST/ OBC and PH candidates is as per Govt. norms.

Educational Qualification: Shall have passed written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.
Candidates awaiting result or about to appear at the final MBBS Examination may also apply provided that such candidates must  produce their MBBS completed certificate on the day of the result of the written part of the combined medical services examination,2014.
Candidates who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship may also apply but on selection he/she will be appointed only after he/she completed the compulsory rotating internship.

Age Limit: Maximum 32 years as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the examination shall pay Application Fee of Rs.200/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by Net Banking or by Debit/ Credit card.
Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” mode, should print the system generated Pay-in slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only.
NO FEE FOR SC/ST/ PH AND ALL FEMALE CANDIDATES

After successful submission of online Application form, a system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain it safely for future correspondence. Do not the print-out to UPSC at this stage.
