Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct Engineering Services Examination,2014. Candidates who will qualify this examination will be recruited in the following Services/ Posts — Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engg., Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. Examination Notice No.06/2014-Engg. No. of Vacancies— 582. Eligible and interested candidates may submit their application through online mode. Qualification norms and brief details are given below —
ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION-2014 is a combined competitive examination for recruitment to the Services/ Posts mentioned below, held by Union Public Service Commission at various examination centres on 20th June,2014.
Recruitment, on the results of this examination, will be made to the Services/ Posts under the following categories —
Category I — Civil Engineering
Category II— Mechanical Engineering
Category III— Electrical Engineering
Category IV — Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Total Vacancies: Number of vacancies expected to fill is approximately 582 Nos. (24 seats reserved for PH category)
Reservation of vacancies for SC/ST/OBC is as per Govt. norms.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering from a recognized University. For alternative educational qualification norms, please go through the officially released advt. (see URL given below)
Age Limits: Minimum 21yrs and maximum 30yrs. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Examination Fee: Candidates willing to apply shall pay Fee of Rs.200/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility or by Credit/ Debit cards.
Applicants who opt for Pay by Cash mode should print the system generated Pay in slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only.
NO FEE FOR SC/ ST/ PH AND ALL FEMALE CANDIDATES.

After successful submission of online Application form, a system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain it safely for future correspondence. Do not send the print-out to UPSC at this stage.
