Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2012, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct a combined Competitive Examination for recruitment of 60 Posts to Grade IV of the services in – Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service. EXAMINATION NOTICE NO. 12/2012-IES/ISS. Eligibility norms and other information in brief is given below—

Vacancies in Grade IV of the services are—
1. Indian Economic Service: 31 Nos.
Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics
2. Indian Statistical Service: 29 Nos.
Qualification: Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from approved and recognized university/ institutions.
Out of total posts; 3 posts were kept reserved for PH category candidates.
Age limits: between 21yrs to 30yrs as on 01/08/2012. Upper age relaxation as per norms.
Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs.200/- through any branch of SBI or by net banking facility. Application fee is exempted for categories belonging to SC/ST/ PH and all Female candidates.
How to Apply: Candidates are required to apply Online from the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) — http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Candidates should print-out the system generated application which may generated with unique registration no. upon successful submission of online application form.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination which may commence from 1st December. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination which can be downloaded from the official website.
