INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION-2016
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely – Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering
Age Limit: Minimum-21 years and maximum-32 years as on 01/08/2016
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Examination (Civil Services), Main Examination and Interview.
Please note, candidates applying for the Indian Forest Service Examination will require to appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. If qualified in Preliminary Examination then will go to the second stage of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination. See PDF file (Officially released advertisement) given below. Preliminary Examination will be held at various centre across the country on 07/08/2016
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2016

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/‐ as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Union Public Service Commission. See released advertisement for more details.
NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/SC/ST/PH CANDIDATES.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission — www.upsconline.nic.in (See link to Application form given below) on or before 27/05/2016.
NOTE: Candidates should fill the application for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination as this examination is common to all candidates applying for either Indian Forest Services or Civil Services.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
