UPUMS Nursing Officer Recruitment Essential Qualification
Option I:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council. OR
- B.Sc. (Post-Certificate)/Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.
- Registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
OR
Option II:
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized Institute/Board or Council.
- Registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Two Years Experience in a minimum 50-bed Hospital (registered with competent district medical authority) after acquiring the educational qualification
Age Limit:
- Between 18-40 years as of 1st January 2024.
- Age relaxation is applicable per Government norms for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen categories and as specified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Application Fees: The application fees for the Nursing Officer recruitment are structured as follows: Unreserved (UR) and OBC/EWS candidates must pay Rs. 2360.00, which includes 18% GST. SC/ST candidates have a reduced fee of Rs. 1416.00, including 18% GST. Additionally, candidates falling under other categories (Horizontal) are expected to remit fees according to their original category.
UPUMS Nursing Officer Recruitment Selection Process:
The selection process for the Nursing Officer recruitment involves a Computer Based Test (CBT). The CBT consists of 200 multiple-choice questions with a total of 600 marks, covering Nursing subjects and general topics such as English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Mathematics. There is no negative marking. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General, EWS, OBC, and 35% for SC & ST candidates. In case of ties, preference is given based on age, fewer wrong answers, overall percentage of marks in Degree/Diploma Courses, and earlier course completion date.
