Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Recruitment 2023 Qualifications:
Candidates applying for the position must have a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering followed by an M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering followed by an M.Tech. in Farm Machinery & Power. A good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master’s Degree level is required. Additionally, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC (CSIR) or a similar test accredited by the UGC like NET/SLET/SET.
Note on Relaxation of Marks:
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s level for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) / Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) categories. The minimum qualifying marks of 55% are relaxable by 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) at the Master’s level for Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master’s degree prior to September 19, 1991.
Age Criteria:
Candidates should be 37 years or less as of 01 January 2023. The minimum age for any candidate must be at least 21 years. Relaxation in the maximum age of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates is admissible. Age may be further relaxed for exceptionally qualified/experienced candidates.
Remuneration:
The remuneration will be fixed considering sixteen effective weeks of instruction in one semester. Depending on the credit-hour of the course, the fixed remuneration shall be calculated. Remunerations for theory and practical classes, setting question papers, evaluating answer scripts, moderation of end-term question papers, conducting and evaluating practical examinations, etc., are specified. The total fixed remuneration for a particular course will be rounded off to the next Rs. 500/-

The interview will take place at the Registrar’s Chamber, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV), Pundibari, Cooch Behar.
