U.P. Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is recruiting 41610 Police Constable/ Provincial Armed Constabulary & Fireman. Last Dt. 18/08/2013

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), Lucknow, is inviting application from the eligible male and female candidates for the posts of – Police Constable, Constable Provincial Armed Constabulary and Fireman. Total vacancies — 41610 Nos. Interested and eligible candidates may either apply online or offline. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —

1. Police Constable: 35500 (Gen—17750; OBC—9585; SC—7455; ST—710)

2. Constable Provincial Armed Constabulary (Male candidates only): 4033 Nos. (Gen—2016; OBC—1089; SC—847; ST—81)

3. Fireman (Male candidates only): 2077 Nos. (Gen—1038; OBC—561; SC—436; ST—42)

Educational Qualification: Class 12 pass or equivalent from recognized board. Candidates must bear good moral character.

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 22yrs as on 01-07-2013. Upper age relaxation is as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200 — 20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-

Physical Standards —
Candidates must meet the following physical standards
For Male candidates: Height – 168 cms (160 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—79cms/ 85cms (77cms/ 82cms in case of ST candidates); Weight – Not applicable.
For Female candidates: Height – 152cms (147cms for ST candidates); Chest – Not applicable; Weight – Minimum 40 Kgs.

Age relaxation and cut-off in physical standards is only applicable to the candidates residing in U.P. Candidates from other States may apply as General candidates.

Application Fee: Rs.200/- (Candidates who have applied earlier as per advertisement released on 15-07-2011 are not required to pay fee if applying for Constable and Provincial Armed Constabulary. See the ADvt. link below for details)
