VETERINARY ASSISTANT SURGEON

Educational Qualification:
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science or its equivalent qualification from any recognized University and must have registered himself/ herself under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970.
ii) The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia fluently and must have passed at least an examination in Odia language equivalent to that of Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or the Education Department of the Government of Odisha or any other Board or Council of Secondary Education approved by the Govt. of Odisha in support of passing of Odia Language (M.E. School Standard).
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 37 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay Rs.4600/-
The vacancies are of Odisha Veterinary Service under Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department against Special Recruitment for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates. The posts are Temporary, but likely to be made Permanent.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha will be treated as General Category candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Viva Voce Test. The Written Examination will be held at Cuttack.
