VETERINARY ASSISTANT SURGEON
No. of Vacancies: 1141 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) B.V.Sc. Degree (now known as B.V.Sc. & A.H).
ii) Must have passed Tamil as one of the languages in Higher Secondary Public Examination or its equivalent.
iii) Must be a Registered Veterinary Practitioner.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.55500 — Rs.175700
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. No maximum age limit (i.e candidates should not have completed 58 years of age) for SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC/ DC, BC, BCM and Destitute Widows of all categories.
The vacancies are in Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry Service. The candidates will be appointed by Direct Recruitment basis.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination (Paper-I and Paper-II) and Oral Test in the shape of an Interview. The Written Examination (Paper-I and Paper-II) will be held on 23/02/2020. The Written Examination will be conductedin the following centres:- Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Salem and Thanjavur. Oral Test will be held in May, 2020.

Note: It is mandatory for candidates to register their basic particulars through One-Time online Registration system on payment of Rs.150/- towards registration fee.
