Visva-Bharati University Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements as of the closing date of the application (28th February 2026).
A. Educational Qualification & Experience:
1. Director of PESNSW (Tenure Post):
- Essential: Eminent scholar with published work, actively engaged in research with 10 years of PG teaching/research experience (or 15 years UG experience).
- Desirable: Certificate in NSS/NCC (C-Certificate). Proven experience in student welfare, mental health services, and sports management.
2. Finance Officer (Tenure Post):
- Essential: Master’s degree with 55% marks + 15 years experience as Assistant Professor (Level 11+) / 8 years as Associate Professor (Level 12+) / 15 years admin experience (8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent).
3. Internal Audit Officer (Deputation):
- Essential: Officers from Audit & Accounts Services of Central/State Govt. holding analogous posts or with 3 years in Level 11 or 5 years in Level 10 in Audit/Accounts.
- Desirable: CA/CMA/MBA (Finance).
4. Assistant Registrar:
- Essential: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
- Selection: All India open competition via written test and interview.
5. Security Officer:
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience as Security Supervisor in Govt./Reputed Private Organization OR JCO-level service in Army/Uniformed forces + 10th pass + Valid Driving License.
- Selection: Through a written test.

The selection methodology varies by post:
- Director of PESNSW & Finance Officer: Direct recruitment based on qualifications, experience, and Interview.
- Internal Audit Officer: Deputation from eligible government officers.
- Assistant Registrar: Written Test (70% weightage) + Interview (30% weightage).
- Security Officer: Written Test.
Note: For Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ posts (like Security Officer), there will be no interview as per Government of India guidelines.
