3855 Volunteers in West Bengal National Volunteer Force (WBNVF) and 1145 Volunteers in Home Guard Volunteers under Department of Civil Defence

Under Department of Civil Defence—West Bengal National Volunteer Force (WBNVF) and West Bengal Home Guard Volunteers is recruiting 3855 persons in National Voluntary Force and 1145 persons in Home Guard Volunteers as a “Volunteers”. Candidates under below mentioned criteria—

3855 Volunteers in WBNVF and 1145 Volunteers in Home Guards—
Candidates willing to apply should be the permanent resident of any one of the following districts of West Bengal—Paschim Medinipur, Purulia and Bankura. Job will be on basis on “No Work No Pay”, i.e. pay will be given only for numbers of days when worked. Only interested candidates who want to work on such basis as a “Volunteer” can only apply. Candidates should understand that this is not a permanent job and neither is sure that you will get work on regular basis.

Qualification: Class Eight (VIII) Pass.

Age should be between 18yrs to 40yrs (18yrs to 35yrs for Home Guard) as on 1-9-2011. Physical Weight and Height measurement should be as follows—Height- 165cm; Chest: 76 cms (unexpanded/expanded- for WBNVF: 75cm/80cm); Weight-minimum 51 Kg (52Kg for WBNVF).

Vacancies as per block wise in the following districts (Red color text is for No. of vacancies in WBNVF and Green color is for No. of vacancies in Home Guard Volunteers—

1. Paschim Medinipur:-
 Binpur(Block-1): 226 Nos; 67Nos.  Binpur(Block-2):230 Nos.; 69 Nos.  Jhadgram: 226 Nos.; 67nos.  Shalbani: 226 Nos.; 67nos. Nayagram: 226 Nos.; 67nos. Jamboni: 226 Nos.;67Nos.  Medinipur Sadar: 226Nos.; 67Nos. Sakrail: 226Nos.; 67Nos. Gopiballavpur(Block-1): 226Nos.;67Nos. Gopiballavpur(Block-2): 226Nos.; 67Nos.

2. Purulia:-
Bandoyan:226nos.;67Nos.  Balrampur:226nos.; 67Nos.  Bagmundi:231nos.; 69Nos.  Manbazar(Block-2): 226nos.; 67Nos.

3. Bankura:-
Ranibandh: 230nos.; 69nos.  Raipur:226nos.; 67nos. Sarenga(Block-2):226nos.; 67nos.

How to Apply: As per application candidates will be called for Interview/Field Test. Selection committee’s decision will be taken as final.

Application can be prepared as per given format in a plain paper. Along with application, enclosed the following attested copies of the documents—

  • Attested copies of Age proof documents/certificates
  • Attested copies of Educational certificates
  • Attested copies of permanent resident certificate issued by Gram Panchayat Prodhan/ President of Panchayat Samiti
  • One self addressed envelope with affix postal stamp of Rs.5
  • Recent 2 copies of passport size photographs duly attested (one copy pasted on application and other copy enclosed with application)

Last Date: Application should reach within 30th September 2011, at the following address—
For Volunteers in WBNVF: “The State Commandant, WBNVF Directorate, Bidhan Bhawan, P.O. Kalyani, Dist. Nadia, Pin No.- 741235”.
For Volunteers in Home Guard (should be addressed to the district where candidates wills to work): “The Superintendent of Police, Home Guards, …………… ……………… ………………..”

  14. I am worked of NVE I am very liked of NVF we are all duties does carefully i.e Night, Evening, Bank, Naka, Operation etc risk duty but Govt. are not give facility for other Police man and our payment is very poor only 11220, please Mamata Di grow our payment .. please please

    i beg most respectfully to state thate i am a selected candidate of wbnvf but i could not get a call letter to join at tranning center of wbnvf for having a court case against me .now that court case is clear that i am not guilty .
    i therefore pray you that you will kindly consider me and will call me to join at tranning centre of wbnvf .
