West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (WBSEDCL) is going to recruit 245 Nos. “Jr. Operator  Technician cum Technical Assistant. Madhyamik pass candidates with ITI in the below mentioned trades may apply for the post. Application form can be submitted only through Online system from the official website of WBSEDCL. Notification No. MPP/2013/03. Qualification norms and criteria in brief are as follows —

WEST BENGAL STATE ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION COMPANY LTD (WBSEDCL) IS RECRUITING 245 JR. OPERATOR  TECHNICIAN CUM TECHNICAL ASSISTANT. APPLY ONLINE FROM 31.05.2013 TO 22.06.2013

1. Jr. Operator Technician cum Technical Assistant: 245 Nos. (Gen—116; SC—52; ST—15; OBC-A—25; OBC-B—17; PH—7; Ex-Serviceman—13)

Educational Qualification: Madhyamik pass or equivalent AND ITI Trade Certificate of 2 years duration course in any one of the following trades – Electronic Mechanic/ Wireman/ Electrician.
Preference will be given to the candidates who have adequate knowledge in communicating in Bengali or Nepali language.

Pay Scale: Rs.6300—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/- plus other allowances as per norms.

Age Limit: Candidates must be minimum 18yrs and maximum 27yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Upper age relaxation is applicable for candidates of West Bengal only. Candidates from other States of India will be treated as General/ Unreserved category.

Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of performance in the Written Examination and Interview.
The written examination and interview will be held in Kolkata only. Date and venue of Written Test/ Interview will be intimated in due course.
Selected candidates are liable to be posted in any Offices/ Units or Hydel Power Stations of West Bengal State.
Initially selected candidates will be on probation for One year and after satisfactory completion of the period, they may be confirmed in regular post.

Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the post will have to deposit Application Fee of Rs.250/- by means of fee Challan through any branch of United Bank of India. The Fee Challan is to be downloaded/ print-out from the official website of WBSEDCL (link given below).
Candidates will have to pay Rs.22/- additionally as bank charge while depositing the fee. 

After depositing the fee, bank will provide Transaction ID and SOL ID which are required to mention in the Online application form.
SC/ST candidates of West Bengal are not required to pay any Application Fee but will have to produce ST/ST caste certificate.

How to Apply: Eligible and interested candidates may apply Online from the official website of WBSEDCL from dated 31/05/2013 to 14/06/2013.
After successful submission of Online application form; candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip.
The Registration slip along with attested copies of testimonials/ fee receipt shall be send by Post (Ordinary Post only) so as to reach on or before 22/06/2013, to the office of WBSEDCL — Post Box No: 16120, Circus Avenue, Kolkata-700017.

(WBSEDCL), Govt. of West Bengal Enterprise, is recruiting 1034 persons for the post of “Jr. Executive”, “Lineman”, “Assistant Engineer (Electrical)”, “Assistant Engineer (Civil)”, “Assistant Engineer (IT&C)”, “Assistant Manager (HR&A)”, “Assistant Manager (F&A)”, “Sub Assistant Engineer (Electrical)” and “Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil)”. Details below—

1. Junior Executive (Finance): 10 posts.
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and Inter CA/ICWA
Pay: Rs.9300 to Rs.38800 and Grade pay—Rs.4700

2. Lineman: 538 posts.
Qualification: Madhyamik Candidates with 2 years duration of ITI Trade Certificate course in Wireman or Electrician and Workmen’s permit.
Pay: Rs.6300—Rs.6300 to Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.2600

3. Assistant Engineer (Electrical): 170 posts
Qualification: Full Time 4 years of B.E /B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics (Combined) / Power Engineering / B.Sc(H) in Physics with 3 years’ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
Pay: Rs.15600 to Rs.39100 and Grade pay Rs.5400

4. Assistant Engineer (Civil): 5 posts.
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute (Full time 4 yrs of course).
Pay: same as above posts.

5. Assistant Engineer (IT&C): 14 posts.
Qualification: B.E /B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / MCA (full time) / B.Sc (H) in Physics and B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized University / Institute (Full time 4yrs of course)
Pay: same as above post.

6. Assistant Manager (HR&A): 15 nos.
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and MBA/MHRM/ MPM/HR or Post Graduate Degree/Diploma (full time) with specialization in Personnel Management/ HR from recognised university.
Pay: same as above.

7. Assistant Manager (F&A): 12 posts.
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and passed Final Examination from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or MBA (2 years’ full time) with specialization in Finance from a recognized University /Institute.

8. Sub Assistant Engineer (Electrical): 250 posts.
Qualification: 3 years course in Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Institute/College recognise by WB State Council of Tech. Education.
Pay: Rs.6300 to Rs.20200 and Grade pay Rs.4400

9. Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil): 20 posts.
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering course of 3yrs full time from Institute/College recognise by WB State Council of Tech. Education.

Age Limit: Candidates willing to apply for any above posts should be within 27yrs of age as on dated 1/1/2012. Age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs and OBC- 3yrs.

Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC and others is as per WB govt. norms. How to Apply and Examination Fee:
Application Fee:
For the posts of Lineman—Rs.250
For the post of Jr. Executive (Finance), Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Civil/ IT&C) and Assistant Manager (HR&A/ F&A): Rs. 400
For the post of Sub Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Civil): Rs.300.
SC/ST Candidates of West Bengal do not require to pay examination fee.
Examination fee should be paid in form of Demand Draft only in favour of— “West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd” and payable at “Kolkata”.

Candidates should keep ready their scanned image of passport size photograph and signature in jpg format which they will require to upload during online registration.
After submitting the online application form, make a print-out copy of Registration Slip. This Registration Slip needs to be sent at the office address with dead line by post.(last date given below).
Candidates will be selected through Written Test and Interview.  Written Test and Interview will be at Kolkata only.
Written Test will be on – General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, General English and Arithmetic as well as Test of Knowledge/Proficiency in the respective professional subjects like IT, Civil, Electrical and etc.

Last Date to Apply Online:
For the post of Lineman and Jr. Executive (Finance)— 31st March 2012. Print-out Registration slip along with documents should reach within 7th April. Admit card will be available to download from 20th April and Written Test will be on 29th April 2012.
For the rest of all other posts— 4th April 2012. Print-out Registration Slip along with documents should reach within 12th April. Admit can be downloaded from 8th May and Written Test will be on 20th May 2012.
