GENERAL DUTY MEDICAL OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 2418 Nos. (UR-1106, SC-507, ST-210, BC-503, PWD-92)
Educational Qualification: Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and Registration as Medical Practitioner.
Candidates should have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required in the case of Nepali speaking candidates of the three Hills sub-division of Darjeeling District- viz. Darjeeling sadar, Kalingpong & Kurseong).
Age Limit: Maximum-32 years for ordinary Medical Graduates and 40 Years for those possessing Post Graduate qualifications as on 01/01/2016
Pay Scale: Rs.15600/- Rs.42000/- and Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Examination and Interview.
