WBHRB – Online applications are invited from Indian citizens for recruitment to the Post of Ayurvedic Pharmacist, Pharmacist Grade III, Senior Chemist, Dental Surgeon, and Dental Surgeon cum – Clinical Tutors/Demonstrators in Dental and Medical Colleges in the cadre of the WBDES under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. Appointments are temporary but likely to be permanent.
Qualifications and vacancies:
Ayurvedic Pharmacist – 35
(i) Passed 2 (two) years of certificate/Diploma Courses in Ayurvedic Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
(ii) Candidate must be registered as Ayurvedic Pharmacist under Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad;
(iii) Spoken and written knowledge in Bengali;
Pharmacist Grade III – 06
(i) Must have Passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology; and
(ii) Two years of Diploma courses in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal or a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal; and
(iii) Registered as “A” category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council.
Senior Chemist – 03
(i) holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry Dairy Chemistry Food Technology, Food, and Nutrition; or
(ii) holds a degree in Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/ Oil from a recognized University in India or is an associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India), or any other equivalent qualification recognized and notified by the Central Government for such purposes; and
(iii) has not less than five(5) years of experience in the analysis of food and water; and
(iv) the candidate must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali and in other languages as per extant rules/ orders of the State Government ;
Dental Surgeon – 44
(i) A recognized BDS degree included in the schedule of the Dentists’ Act, 1948 acquired from any Indian University or equivalent qualifications included in the schedule of the Dentists’ Act, 1948:
(ii) Registration as Dental Surgeon in West Bengal State Dental Council or the D.C.I.: Provided that persons registered with any other State Dental Council shall also be eligible subject to the condition that in the event of selection and appointment, he shall have to register himself with the West Bengal Dental Council within six months of such appointment.
Dental Surgeon cum – Clinical Tutors/Demonstrators – 66
(i) A recognized BDS degree included in the Schedule of the Dentists’ Act 1948 acquired from any Indian University or equivalent qualifications included in the schedule of the Dentists’ Act 1948. Provided that weightage shall be given to candidates possessing a recognized Postgraduate ( MDS ) degree or Diplomate in National Board included in the schedule of the Dentists’ Act 1948;
(ii) At least one year of professional experience; and
(iii) Registration as Dental Surgeon in West Bengal State Dental Council or the D.C.I. Provided those persons registered with any other State Dental Council shall also be eligible subject to the condition that in the event of selection and appointment, they shall have to register themselves with the West Bengal Dental Council within six months of such appointment.
Application Fees:
Candidates must submit the online application fee amounting to Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred ten) only through Banks participating in the GRIPS (Govt. Receipt Portal System). Money orders, cheques, Bank drafts, Cash, etc. shall not be accepted.

Candidates must print out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO WEST BENGAL HEALTH RECRUITMENT BOARD (WBHRB) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
