The Public Service Commission, West Bengal, has announced vacancies for the positions of Headmaster (36 vacancies) and Headmistress (2 vacancies) in the West Bengal Education Service under the School Education Department of the Government of West Bengal.

WBPSC Head Teacher Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a second-class Master’s degree along with a first-class Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or its equivalent. They must be proficient in teaching in English and demonstrate strong communication skills in English.
Experience: A minimum of ten years of continuous teaching experience is required.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates should have the capacity to foster a cohesive school environment and uphold discipline in secondary education. Familiarity with the latest developments in secondary education is preferred.
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 35 to 50 years old.
West Bengal PSC Headmaster Selection Process 2024
Candidates will undergo a selection process comprising a Screening Test, Written Test, and Interview. Proficiency in Bengali (excluding those with Nepali as their mother tongue) is required. The exact schedule and venue for the examination/interview will be communicated to eligible candidates in due time and will also be available on the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission.
