West Bengal State Council of Science and Technology (WBSCST), Kolkata, is inviting application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for various projects. The engagement to the posts will be purely on temporary and contractual basis. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See below). Qualification norms and brief details are given below —
1. Junior Research Fellow: 5 Nos.
Essential Qualification: First class Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography /Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing & GIS
Desirable Qualification: PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent. Experience in preparation of various theme maps using RS & GIS. NET/GATE qualified.
Age: 35yrs as on 01-01-2014.
Remuneration: Rs.16400/- per month (Consolidated)
2. Senior Research Fellow: 4 Nos.
Essential Qualification: First class Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography /Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing & GIS.
Desirable Qualification: PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent. 2 years experience in preparation of various theme maps using RS & GIS. NET/GATE qualified.
Age: 35yrs as on 01-01-2014.
Remuneration: Rs.18700/- per month (Consolidated)
The engagements to the posts are purely temporary and contractual basis. Selection of the candidates will be through Walk-in-Interview.
