West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) is inviting application for 98 posts of “Junior Operator Technician Cum Technical Assistant (JOT-CUM-TA)”. WBSEDCL INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 98 POSTS OF JUNIOR OPERATOR TECHNICIAN CUM TECHNICAL ASSISTANT. LAST DATE — 28/05/2015

 

Jr. Operator Technician cum Technical Assistant (JOT-cum-TA)

Number of Vacancies: 98 posts. (UR—42; SC—21; ST—6; OBC—18). Out of total vacancies 06 reserved for PH and 05 for Ex-Servicemen.

 

Educational Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent
AND
i) Trade Certificate under NCVT from any ITI under Directorate of Industrial Training, Govt. of West Bengal in Electronic-Mechanic/Wireman/ Electrician (Total 2 years’ duration).
OR
ii) Trade Certificate under NCVT from any ITI under Directorate of Industrial Training, Govt. of West Bengal in Broad Based Basic Training(BBBT) & Advanced/Specialized Module in the Electrical Sector (Total 2 years’ duration).
OR
iii) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) awarded by Ministry of Labour and Empowerment, Government of India, in the trade – Electronic Mechanic/ Wireman/ Electrician. (Total 3 years’ duration)

Note: Degree from Open University/ Private University/ Distance mode/ Part time/Sandwich course will not considered for eligibility.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01.01.2015 with age relaxation of 3 Years for OBC (A) & OBC (B) and 5 Years for SC & ST candidates of West Bengal only. Ex-serviceman – as per norms.

SC/ST, OBC candidates from State other than West Bengal will be treated as Unreserved/General candidates.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.6300—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/- plus other allowances as per norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test and Interview. The Merit List will be prepared on total marks of Written Test and Interview (Viva-Voce) strictly in order of merit.

The Written Test and Interview will be held in Kolkata only. Tentative date of Written Test is 21/06/2015.

The Written Test will cover the tests for General Intelligence/Reasoning, Test of Elementary English, Quantitative Aptitude/Elementary Math, General Knowledge and Domain Knowledge (for the respective trade).

Processing & Examination Fee: Rs.250/- is to be deposited in any branch of United Bank of India through a triplicate CHALLAN. Fee challan can be downloaded from the official website of WBSEDCL. Application Fees will have to be deposited from 01.05.2015 to 21.05.2015 during banking hours.

SC / ST / PH / Exempted Category candidates are exempted from paying any fees.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of WBSEDCL — www.wbsedcl.in (See URL below) from dated 01.05.2015 to 21.05.2015 (Mid Night).

Upon submission of online application form with basic details, the system generated Application Number and fee payment challan will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out the generated Application and Fee challan.

After deposition of Fee, applicants shall upload recent passport size colour photograph (mandatory), Bank payment challan copy (WBSEDCL), age proof, Caste certificate (if applicable), Disability certificate (if applicable), proof for Ex-serviceman(if applicable) and necessary documents.

The paid fees CHALLAN (wherever applicable), valid E-mail ID, Mobile No, photograph and scanned signature are mandatory data without which online registration will be treated as incomplete/invalid.

If the candidates are unable to upload the documents, then they must send the above said documents through ordinary post at the below address
