West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL) requires 498 Pharmacist, Nurse & ITI Trainee. Last Dt. 20/11/2013

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL), A Govt. of West Bengal Enterprise, is recruiting 498 candidates for the posts of – ITI Trainee, Pharmacist and Nurse. Interested and eligible candidates from Indian Nationals may apply for the vacancies. Candidates may submit their application through Online system only. Notification No. MPP/2013/08. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

1. PHARMACIST
Number of Vacancies: 2 posts. (General—1; SC—1)
Qualification: Diploma in Pharmacy.
Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01-01-2013.
Gross Salary : Rs.20600 (Approx)

2. NURSE
Number of Vacancies: 6 posts. (General—3; SC—1; ST—1; OBC-A—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent in Science with Diploma in General Nursing Midwife. Candidates must have Registration with authorized Nursing Council and shall have atleast 02 years working experience in a recognized Hospital/ Nursing Home.
Age limit: Between 18yrs to 30yrs as on 01-01-2013.
Gross Salary: Rs.18600/- (approx)

3. ITI TRAINEE
Number of Vacancies: 490 Nos. (General—190; SC—105; ST—30; OBC-A—79; OBC-B—35; PH—26; Ex-Servicemen—25)
Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent AND 02 years duration ITI Trade Certificate in the trades of Wireman or Electrician.
Gross Salary: Rs.18600/- (approx)
Age limit: between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01-01-2013.

For the post of ITI Trainee, the candidates selected will be paid a monthly Stipend of Rs.10000/- during the period of training. 

N.B: Degree/ Diploma/ ITI from Open/ Distance Education/ Part Time/ Sandwich course will not be considered.

Upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 05 years, for OBC—3yrs, for PWD—10yrs and for Ex-serviceman and others—as per Govt. norms. (see the below link)

Examination Fee & Processing Fee: —
Rs.250/- is to be deposited as Application Fee through any branches of United Bank of India through a triplicate Challan by General and OBC candidates (PH candidates shall pay Rs.150/- only). The challan can be downloaded from the website of WBSEDCL (See the link below). After depositing the fee, the bank will provide Transaction ID and SOL ID which are required to mention in the online Application form. The bank will keep one copy of the challan and will return two copies of challan to the candidates after proper stamp.
Candidates will have to send the WBSEDCL’s copy of Challan along with hard copy of system generated Application form.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ ST AND EXEMPTED CATEGORY CANDIDATES.

Candidates’ Selection:—
Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of performance in the Written Test and Interview. The Written Test will be held in KOLKATA only.
The written test will cover— General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, General English and Arithmetic, apart from test of knowledge in the respective professional subject/ areas.
Candidates qualified in written test will be called for Interview.

The expected date of Written Examination is 22/12/2013. Candidates may download their Admit card for Written Examination from 12/12/2013.

Before applying Online, candidates must pay the above prescribed Application Fee (not applicable for SC/ST and Exempted categories)

After final submission of Online Application, candidates must take the print-out of system generated Application Registration Slip, sign on it, paste one copy of recent colour photograph, attach the WBSEDCL’s copy of fee challan and Attested copies of testimonials in support of eligibility such as, Educational qualification certificate, Caste certificate, PH/ Discharge certificate (for PH/ Ex-Sm), Age proof certificate, ITI/ trade certificate and any other relevant certificate and send the same by ORDINARY POST/ SPEED POST at the below given address.
Attestation of documents must be done by GAZETTED OFFICER only.

The last date of submission of Online Application is 20/11/2013 (Midnight)
After submitting the online Application form, candidates are required to print-out the system generated Registration Slip.
