WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF ANIMAL & FISHERY SCIENCE INVITES APPLICATION FOR 04 POSTS OF RESEARCH FELLOW AND SUPPORTING STAFF. WALK-IN-INTERVIEW ON 25/06/2015
1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for Project “Livestock related environmental pollutants, contaminants and toxicants (Monitoring of drug residues & environmental pollutant)”: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: At least 1st class in B.V.Sc. & A.H./ 1st class in B.Sc.(Zoology, Physiology, Biochemistry)/B.Pharm.
Master degree in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology/ Biochemistry/M.Sc. in Zoology /Physiology / Biochemistry/ M.Pharm.
Desired qualification: Ph.D. in relevant subject. Experience in operation of HPLC, GLC, AAS for analysis of heavy metal, drug, pesticides etc. and also handling on laboratory animals.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Salary: Rs.18000/- per month.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Projects “Evaluation of CNS, hepato-toxicity and other related symptoms of different alcohol formulations in Wistar Rats”: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: At least 1st class in B.V.Sc. & A.H./ B. Pharm/B.Sc.(Hons.) in Biochemistry/B.Sc in Physiology/B.Sc in Zoology.
Desired qualification Master degree in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology/M.V.Sc. in Biochemistry / M.Sc in Zoology / M.Sc. in Physiology / M.Sc. in Biochemistry/M.Pharm.
Experience in handling on laboratory animals.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Salary: Rs.10000/- per month.
3. Supporting Staff for Projects “Outreach Programme on Zoonotic Diseases (Dermatophytosis and Cryptococcosis in Animal and Their Public Health Importance)”: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and knowledge of typing and computer.
Desired Qualification: Experience in collection samples and data from the field to assist SRF and PI, Experience on computer work and office work. Work experience in laboratory of department/ project.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Salary: Rs.5000/- per month.
4. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Projects “Influence of Corneal nerve regeneration on wound healing and its therapeutic modulation”: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Post graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional course.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Salary: Rs.25000/- per month.
5. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for Projects “Surveillance of diseases of aquacultured finfish and shelfish in West Bengal and development of disease management strategies”: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of biological sciences with PhD in Fishery Pathology and Microbiology/ Aquatic Animal Health/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Virology/ Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification: Works related to fish molecular biology etc. Exposure to PCR, molecular biology, virology and immunological techniques and bioinformatics. M.F.Sc./ PhD, Graduates in any discipline with practical experience or dissertation in Fish Diseases/ Fish Microbiology/ or candidates with practical experience in Animal/ Human Diseases with knowledge on fisheries.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women candidates.
Salary: Consolidated Rs.24, 000/- p.m. + 15% HRA.
Age Limits & Relaxation: The age mentioned above will be counted as on 01.06.2015. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
