Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognised University.
Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 39 years
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates of other States shall be treated as General candidates.
NOTE: For West Bengal Police Service (Group ‘B’ Service)- The minimum height requirement is 1.65 metres for male candidates and 1.50 metres for female candidates subject to relaxation in the case of candidates belonging to races such as Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese Tribals etc.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Written Examination and Main Examination. For some posts/services there will be Personality Test.
Examination will be held at various examination centre across the state West Bengal.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.210/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of West Bengal Public Service Commission (PSCWB). The last date for payment of applicaltion fee through bank/offline is 26/11/2019. A candidate may apply for one or more of the four groups of services, viz., A, B, C, and D.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO WEST BENGAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (PSCWB) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
