1. MEDICAL OFFICER (SPECIALIST)

Educational Qualification: MBBS degree with a recognized and requisite Post Graduate Qualification in the respective Speciality and Medical Council Registration as Medical Practitioners in the Medical Council of India, OR any State Medical Council provided that the Candidate, if appointed, must register his/her name in the West Bengal Medical Council within 6 months of joining the West Bengal Health Service.
Desirable: One year’s practical training as House Staff in any Govt. Hospital or other recognized institution.
Age Limit: Not more than 40 years on 01.01.2021.
Basic Pay: Rs.15600 — Rs.42000 per month.
2. GENERAL DUTY MEDICAL OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 1207 Nos.
Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree and and Medical Council Registration as Medical Practitioner in the Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Council provided that the candidates, if selected and appointed , must register their names in the West Bengal Medical Council within six months of joining the
West Bengal Health Service.
Desirable: One year’s practical training as House Staff in any Govt. Hospital or other recognized institution.
Age Limit: Not more than 36 years on 01.01.2021.
Basic Pay: Rs.15600 — Rs.42000 per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: The recruitment will be made by selection, but where a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may, for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen.
