GENERAL DUTY MEDICAL OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 1098 Nos. (UR-89, SC-298, ST-202, OBC-422, PH-87)
Educational Qualification: i) Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act.
ii) Registration as Medical Practitioners in the Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Council provided that the candidates, if selected and appointed , must register their names in the West Bengal Medical Council within six months of joining the West Bengal Health Service.
Note: Candidates completing their internship by 31/03/2018 will be eligible to apply subject to production of Permanent Registration at the time of joining.
Age Limit: Maximum-36 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.42000 and Grade Pay – Rs. 5400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Examination and Interview. Interview shall be held on 21st and 22nd of the respective month during 10 am to 5 pm).
