Sports Eligibility Criteria
The meritorious sportspersons will be considered for appointment based on the following criteria:
Category A (Highest Preference)
Sportspersons who have:
- Represented a State or the Country in National or International competition; OR
- Medal winners in Junior National Championships; OR
- Medal winners in Khelo India Youth Games (age category above 18 years); OR
- Medal winners in Khelo India Winter Games; OR
- Medal winners in Khelo India Para Games; OR
- Medal winners in Khelo India University Games; OR
- Medal winners in School Games Federation of India (SGFI)
For Chess: Grand Master (GM) Title, International Master (IM) Title, Chess Olympiad. IM/GM title should be in Open Category like Woman Grandmaster (WGM) etc.
Category B
Sportspersons who have represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards.
Category C
Sportspersons who have represented the State School Teams in the National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation.
Note: Sports achievements between 01.01.2022 and 30.06.2026 only will be considered.

The selection process consists of the following stages:
Stage 1: Scrutiny of Applications

Stage 5: Data Entry Skill Test (Only for Tax Assistant)
- Candidates shortlisted for Tax Assistant post must qualify Data Entry Skill Test @ 8000 key depressions per hour

Stage 6: Final Selection
