RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF LADY CONSTABLE IN WEST BENGAL POLICE – 2023
Lady Constable – 1420
Educational Qualification:
Must have passed the Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
The candidate must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language (not applicable to the candidates who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts).
Age Limit:
Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as of 01/01/2023.
Pay Scale:
Rs. 5,400 – 25,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-
Female candidates are only eligible to apply for the post.
Upper Age Relaxation:
The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for the OBC category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. Reserved Category candidates from States other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Category candidates.
Sports Quota:
Under Sports Quota, only meritorious sports persons from the following discipline may apply:-

Physical Standards are as per the Police Recruitment Board of West Bengal prescribed. Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection:
The selection of candidates will be through a Preliminary Written Test, Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination, and Interview.

Application Fee:
Candidates must pay Rs. 170/- (Rs. 20/- for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal only) as the Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during the submission of the online application form by using a Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. How to Apply:
Candidates may opt to submit their application either ONLINE or via OFFLINE. The online application can be made only through the official website of West Bengal Police —https://prb.wb.gov.in (See the Application form’s link given below). The application window for submitting an application through online mode only will remain operative for the period 23.04.2023 (from 00:01 hrs.) to 22.05.2023 (till 23:59 hrs).
Candidates may also choose to submit their Online Application through Sahaj Mitra Kendras. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with a unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPIES OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
