1. WIRELESS OPERATOR
No. of Vacancies: 1251 Nos. (Male- 1126; Female- 125)
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) or equivalent Examination from any of the recognized Boards in Science with Physics and Mathematics.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 yrs and maximum 27 yrs as on 01/01/2021
2. WIRELESS SUPERVISOR (TECHNICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 74 Nos. (Male- 67; Female- 07)
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree with any of the following subjects – Physics or Radio Physics or Electronics and Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology from any recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 yrs and maximum 30 yrs as on 01/01/2021
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
NOTE: The applicant must be able to read, write and speak in Bengali language (Not required for those candidates who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts).
Candidate should be in good mental and physical health. They should be free from any deformity likely to interfere with efficient performance of their work.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Preliminary Examination (screening test) followed by the Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Final Competitive Examination and Personality Test.
