WEST BENGAL JUDICIAL SERVICE EXAMINATION – 2016
Total vacancies — 34 Nos. [UR-21, SC-03, ST-02, OBC(A)03, OBC(B)02, PWD(OH)-01, (VH)-01, (HI)-01]
Educational Qualification: Degree in Law and should have enrolled as an advocate in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India.
Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)
Age Limit: Minimum-23years and maximum-35 years as on 09.04.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.27,700/- Rs.44770/- and other allowances as per Govt. norms
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Personality Test. Written Examination, i.e. Preliminary Examination will be Multiple Choice Objective Type Main Examination will be Conventional Type.
Preliminary Examination will be held in Kolkata and Darjeeling in June 2016 (Only the candidates belong to Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at Darjeeling Centre) and Final Examination will be held at Kolkata in August, 2016.
Note: Candidates belonging to the reserved category of other states will be treated as General.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.210/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Public Service Commission, West Bengal. See released advertisement for more details.
NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC, ST AND PWD CANDIDATES.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Public Service Commission, West Bengal — www.pscwbonline.gov.in (See link to Application form given below) from dated 11/04/2016 to 02/05/2016
Candidates applying for first time will have to first go for “One Time Registration” (link available on top of the left panel in home page of the website www.pscwbonline.gov.in) and fill up all the required data and uploading scanned photo and signature to get User ID and Password. Candidates who have already registered earlier may login to their dashboard to fill the online application form (See Advt. in PDF below).
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
