WEST BENGAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (PSCWB) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR 02 PLANT PATHOLOGIST AND KEEPER.

1. PLANT PATHOLOGIST

No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.

Educational Qualification:

• A second-class Master’s Degree in Botany or Agriculture from a
  recognized University /Institute.
• Two years research experience in Pathological problems of
  Medicinal Plants and Tissue Culture.

Age Limit:

• Not more than 36 years as of 01.01.2022. Age is relaxable for otherwise well-qualified and experienced candidates.

Pay Scale:

• PAY LEVEL – 16 :Rs.56,100/- – Rs.1,44 ,3 00/- AS PER WBS( ROPA) RULES,2019

 

2. KEEPER at STATE ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.

Educational Qualification:

• A Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in Museology or Archaeology Ancient Indian History and Culture or Islamic History and Culture or any Classical Language with a specialization
  in any branch of Archaeology.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a reputed Museum or a
  comparable Institution.

Desirable:

• Training in Museology from a recognized Museum or Institution.
• Training in conservation and preservation of Museum objects from a recognized institution or museum, publication in Art, Archaeology, and Museology.

Age Limit:

• Not more than 40 years’ on 01.01.2022, relaxable for persons holding a substantive appointment under the government.

Pay Scale:

• PAY LEVEL 14 OF Rs.39,900 /-– Rs.1,02 ,8 00/- UNDER WBS(ROPA)RULES,2019

Upper Age Relaxation: 

• The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category candidates. Such benefits are also available up to the age of 45 years for PWD candidates.

Note: 

• The ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement (not applicable for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).

Qualifications are relaxable at the Commission’s discretion for otherwise well-qualified and experienced candidates. For details please see the Official Advt. Reserved Category candidates from states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category candidates.

Candidates’ Selection:

•  Selection of candidates will be through a Screening Test followed by an Interview.

Application Fee:

• Candidates must pay an Application Fee of Rs. 210/- for Plant Pathologist and Rs. 160/- Keeper. Fee can be paid through Online mode during the submission of the online application form by using a Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission (PSCWB). See released advertisement for more details.

NO APPLICATION FEE IS REQUIRED IN THE CASE OF SC/ ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PWD CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO WEST BENGAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (PSCWB) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
