West Bengal Government’s Women & Chld Development and Directorate of Social Welfare offices in the districts of Bankura, Purulia and West Medinipur is recruiting 174 persons for the post of “I.C.D.S. Supervisor”, “Typist cum Storekeeper”, “Cashier cum Lower Division Assistant”, “Assistant/ Statistical Assistant”, “Clerk cum Typist” and “Peon” for its 23 Nos. L.W.E. Blocks. Advt.No. ICA-2470 (3)/2011. Details given below (Updated)—
N.B.: As per Advt.No.ICA-2544(2)2011, dated 6-12-2011, the last date of Form submission and qualification eligibility has been changed/amended. Changes were reflected below with Red text.
I.C.D.S. Supervisor: 141 Nos. (Gen-47, SC-23, ST-6, OBC-17, PH-48)
Qualification: Graduate candidates, in any discipline, may apply. Preference will be given to those candidates who have done Degree course in Sociology or Social work. Only female candidates may apply for this post.
Experience of 2 yrs in Social works is desirable
Pay Scale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade pay: Rs.3600
Typist cum Storekeeper: 9 Nos. (Gen-3, OBC-2, SC-1, ST-1, PH-2)
Qualification: Graduate candidates, in any discipline, may apply for the post. Candidates should have ability to work in computer and must have proper computer knowledge.
Madhyamik or its equivalent from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and should have proper knowledge in Computer.

Pay Scale: Rs.5400 – Rs.25200. Grade Pay: Rs.2600
Cashier cum Lower Division Assistant: 5 Nos. (Gen-3, SC-1, ST-1)

Madhyamik or its equivalent from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and should have proper knowledge in Computer.
Clerk cum Typist: 8 Nos. (Gen-2, OBC-1, SC-1, ST-1, PH-2, Ex-Serviceman-1)
Qualification: Qualification and payscale is same as above.

Qualification: Class VIII pass candidates, from any recognised school, Madrashah or board may apply for the post. Candidates should have ability to read and write in Bengali and English
Pay scale: Rs.4900 – Rs.16200 and Grade pay: Rs.1700
Assistant / Statistical Assistant: 8 Nos. (Gen-2, OBC-1, SC-1, ST-1, PH2, Exservieman-1)
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with Mathematics and Statistics as a compulsory subject may apply for the post.
Payscale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade pay: Rs.3600
Age limits: For all the above mentioned post the age should be within 37yrs counted as on 1-11-2011. Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates- 5yrs, OBC-3yrs and PH- as per norms.
Candidates’ selection: Candidates will be selected through Written Test. Written Test will be as follows—
For the post of ICDS Supervisor, the test will be of 100 marks on followings—(I) English-25marks, (II) Bengali-25marks, (III) Elementary mathematics-25marks, (IV) General Knowldege-15marks and then Interview of 10 marks.
For the post of Assistant/ Statistics Assistant the test will be on following topics—(I) English-25marks, (II) Bengali-25marks, (III) Math and Statistics-25marks, (IV) General knowledge-15 marks and then Interview of 10 marks.
For the post of Typist cum Store Keeper, Cashier cum Lower Division Assistant and Clerk cum Typist, the written test will be on followings—(I) English-20marks, (II) Bengali-20marks, (III) Elementary Mathematics-20marks, (IV) General knowledge- 15marks. If selected then Computer ability Test will be of 15marks and then Interview of 10marks.
For the post of Peon, there will be no Written Test. Candidates will selected through Interview of 25marks.
Job to the selected candidates will be given in any blocks of mentioned 3 districts- viz. Bankura, Purulia and West Medinipur.
Candidate may apply for any one post. Applying more than once will lead to cancellation.
