West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti, Kolkata, is recruiting 53 candidates for the various below listed posts in different Thalassaemia Control Units of different Districts across the State on contractual basis. Posts — Medical Officer, Counsellor, Lab Technicians, Nurse, Data Entry Operator and Laboratory Attendant. Recruitment Notice No. SHFWS/10. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is as follows —

1. Medical Officer: 10 Nos.
Place of Posting and number of vacancies are given in brackets — Sagar Dutta MC&H Kolkata (1), North Bengal MC&H (1), Diamond Harbour (1), Coochbehar (1), Jalpaiguri (1), Baharampur MC&H, Murshidabad (1), Purulia (1), Tamluk (1), Uluberia (1) and Raigunj (1)
Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree recognized by MCI. Working experience is desirable.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.35000/-

2. Counsellor: 7 Nos.

Educational Qualification: MA/ M.Sc in Sociology/ Applied Pscychology. Working experience with Thalassaemia patient is desirable.

3. Laboratory Technicians: 7 Nos.

Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology AND 2yrs Diploma Course in Medical Laboratory Technology. Working experience is desirable.

4. GNM Staff Nurse: 24 Nos.
Place of Posting and number of vacancies are given in brackets — Sagar Dutta MC&H, Kol (6), Burdwan MC&H (1), Bankura MC&H (2), Diamond Harbour (2), Nadia (2), Suri (1), Coochbehar (2), Jalpaiguri (2), Purulia (2), Uluberia (2) and Raigunj (2)
Educational Qualification: Only Retired GNM staff of any Hospital is eligible to apply.

5. Data Entry Operator: 4 Nos.
Place of Posting and number of vacancies are given in brackets — Sagar Dutta MC&H, Kol(1); Malda MC&H—(1); Hoogly(1) and Raigunj (2)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and Diploma course in Computer Application. Experience of handling with data of patients is desirable.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.13560/- per month

6. Laboratory Attendant: 1 Nos.
Place of Posting and number of vacancies are given in brackets — N.R.S MC&H, Kolkata (1)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII pass and capable to read and write in English and Bengali with 3 years experience in Pathological laboratory.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.10,200/- per month

Age Limit: Maximum 40yrs as on 01-07-2013. Maximum 60yrs for the post of GNM Staff Nurse. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC is as per rules and norms.
Reference will be given to the candidates who have higher qualification and higher experience in the field.
