Railway Recruitment Cell — Western Railway, Mumbai is recruiting 5775 candidates from Open Market in Pay Band-I of Rs.5200—20200 with GP Rs.1800 for Divisions and Workshop of Western Railway. Posts — Gangman/ Trackman, Helper/Khalasi and Platform Porter. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format only. Employment Notice No. RRC/WR/02/2013. Educational norms and eligibility details in brief are given below —

1. GANGMAN/ TRACKMAN: 3534 Nos. (Gen—1879; SC—501; ST—251; OBC—903). Ex-serviceman—707 

2. HELPER/ KHALLASI (Engg./ Mech./ Elect./ S&T/ Comml./ Optg. Deptt. Of Divisions): 932 Nos. (Gen—570; SC—107; ST—56; OBC—196). Ex-serviceman—186; PWD—100.

3. HELPER-II / KHALASI (Engg/ Mech/ Elect/ S&T Workshop): 662 Nos. (Gen—386; SC—81; ST—43; OBC—152). Ex-serviceman—132; PWD—73. 

4. HELPER-II/ KHALLASI (TMC Organization): 52 Nos. (Gen—26; SC—8; ST—4; OBC—14). Ex-serviceman—10.

5. PLATFORM POTER: 595 Nos. (Gen—336; SC—80; ST—39; OBC—140). Ex-serviceman—119 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ Class 10 pass OR ITI Pass or equivalent. Candidates with higher qualification may also apply.

Age Limit: between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 01/01/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination (Objective type), Physical Efficiency Test and finally medical examination.

Physical Efficiency Test:—
For Male candidates: Run of 1000 mtrs in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance
For Female candidates: Run of 400 mtrs in 3 minutes and 10 seconds in one chance

Examination Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid in form of crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of ‘Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC-WR and payable at Mumbai.
No Examination Fee for SC/ST Ex-Servicemen, PWD, Women, Economically Backward Class and Minority Communities. 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on the prescribed Application form along with self-attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Certificate, Caste certificate, Age proof and etc.
Superscribe the top of the envelope as “Application for the Posts in Pay Band I/ GP-Rs.1800/- of Western Railway”.
