CSIR-IGIB Technician Selection Process 2026
The selection process involves three stages:
Stage A – Screening of Applications: A Screening Committee will scrutinize all received applications and shortlist candidates for the Trade Test based on its own criteria.
Stage B – Trade Test: A duly constituted Selection Committee will conduct the Trade Test in the relevant subjects to evaluate candidate suitability.
Stage C – Competitive Written Examination (OMR/CBT Based):
The written exam consists of 150 questions over 2 hours 30 minutes, divided into three papers:

CSIR-IGIB Technician Salary 2026
Selected Technician (1) candidates will receive Pay Level-2 salary in the range of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month. Approximate total emoluments, including House Rent Allowance (HRA) applicable to Delhi, are around Rs. 39,970/- per month at the minimum of scale. In addition, selected candidates will be entitled to DA, Transport Allowance, medical reimbursement, Leave Travel Concession, Children’s Education Allowance, and accommodation as per CSIR rules.
